Web Designers MUST be able to design valid XHTML and CSS to WC3 spec's.
Dreamweaver, Kompozer, Aptana, Go Live WYSIWYG are ok - Frontpage/Piblisher/PowerPoint ARE NOT! They may save and output HTML, but they don't even come close to being web compliant. They don't make Frontpage anymore do they? HOPE NOT! 

If you have a strong desire to learn, you are always welcome to contact us.

Anyone with CMS experience welcomed! Joomla and Drupal Especially. 

If you've worked with Wordpress or Ruby on Rails, any blogging - that's a really good thing!

Of course knowledge of the Adobe Suite is expected, but if you use another graphic

design tool set, that's fine. GIMP? InkScape? YAY!

285 Creative is mainly a Mac OS X shop - but we work on all platforms and OS's especially
Linux. It's ok if you prefer windows. 87% of the world still does.

Also we'd like to hear from anyone doing video production and any Final Cut Pro 

users. DVD Authoring is a big plus as is anyone creating audio for podcasting or

creating original music.

And maybe you don't have the chops required just yet, get in touch with us anyway. In

this business, half if not more of what it takes to succeed is desire and willingness to

learn. We'd be happy to get you pointed in the right direction. We pay based on experience

as well as the scale and scope of the project. If you are getting into this busines to make

a million bucks, you may have picked the wrong business. But if you are getting into it

because of a strong passion, a creative drive, and love being a geek - then you are right

on track!
